Call for Papers

It is our pleasure to invite you to submit your paper to the NewSchool Symposium, < PRACTICE : Computational Processes in Architecture >. Selected researchers will have the opportunity to present their papers at the 2015 NewSchool Symposium, taking place in October 24 at NewSchool in downtown San Diego. The full papers will be printed in the symposium publication. Submission is open to everyone: academics and professionals alike.


Topics of Interest
The conference focuses on computational processes in the modern practice of architecture and design and how digital technologies are shaping the practice of architecture and its allied disciplines. Topics that are of interest include (but are not limited to):

  • Computational design processes in the practice of architecture
  • Computation in fabrication and construction
  • Digital analysis and optimization in design
  • Digital collaboration across allied fields

Papers
Abstracts (250 words) for papers are due September 10, 2015
Notification of acceptance will be sent on September 17, 2015
Full papers (2000 words) are due October 17, 2015
Authors names should not appear in the abstract to maintain anonymity
